To summarize her life as a news reporter, which is far from over, Patricia Tourancheau chose 69 articles from the 3,500 pieces she published in "Libération" between 1990 and 2015. She arranged them into 14 themes ("Generations of serial killers"; "Crooks of all kinds"; "Female crimes"; "Highway bandits", etc.) and the whole thing paints a dizzying panorama of crime in France, the last piece recounting the bloody descent of the Kouachi brothers and Amedy Coulibaly in January 2015 (for the record, while escaping, the Kouachis crashed their car into the building next to that of... Patricia Tourancheau).
If the journalist, who still works as a freelancer, is an unrivaled connoisseur of the "poulaga house" and its many services, "Pat", as she is often nicknamed, has the particularity of having also forged close ties with the other side, namely that of the thugs to whom she lends a kind of tenderness and fascination.
